The History of MOSERHOF MANOR

The listed Moserhof Manor is located in the very heart of the world famous vine growing village Gumpoldskirchen. In 1613 Vienna’s major Mr. Daniel Moser acquired the courtyard that was mentioned the first time in 1437. The inscription right off the entrance wall refers to Regimentsrat Max Ferdinand Moser. In 1763 the ownership of the Moserhof was transferred to
Carl Leopold Moser who already owned Gumpoldskirchen since 1753.

The courtyard is a characteristic yard type found in the Lower Austrian thermal line and is of historic, artistic and cultural importance. In 2007 the current owner family Mr Eduard und Mrs Ilona Bugelnig acquired the courtyard and started a comprehensive reconstruction of the building in 2010. The opening of the new hotel has been in February 2012.
